 This is the first interview from many that I will try to make. At this moment, Catarina is a VIP OldSquad player because he is ranked number 1 on 3 of our rankings, Castle Siege, PVM and Gens. We all want to hear how he did that, what he thinks and MORE! So, you can read his answers in this topic, and I really want to thank him for the time and answers (I am fan of any ranked number 1 player, so I will try to interview all of them, because they got ranked number 1 doing things better than the others, so they deserve to be called an OldSquad VIP):

Catarina: "At the CS I am trying to fight the ppl with no gear or little HP, like Summoners, elfs, for easy kills."

Catarina: "If I be in home and play active, then all time I am trying to kill bosses and golds"

Catarina: "Most ppl stay on spot and don't leave, they lost party on spot, gens... when we have pvp invasion then you must kill different gens"

Top resets or top Master Level ?
  In this topic I will present you some strategies used by the top ranked players. There are several tops and I will talk only about the most important ones, related to character strength and strategies. I guess that not all the players know all the things that I am about to tell you.
 For the beginning, I will tell you that the top 10 characters from reset rankings are not the strongest characters on the server, not at this moment, anyway, let's begin:
   1. Reset rankings (the most popular top) : 
 

  Here you can see the top characters as normal exp characters, those players have a strategy based on long term , they do first resets because each reset gives some bonuses like 60 points/reset , character strength improved, like hp/dmg/strength/defense with @ a few percent for each reset, but the most important bonus is that each reset increases Master Level XP by 20% , so when they start to do master level, they will level up way faster than the players who preferred to do master levels from first resets. Let's not forget that each reset will push your ML limit higher (you can do more ML level with each reset).
   When they reset their character, they "lose" a lot of action , top events and bosses like Chaos Castle7, Devil Square 7. Blood Castle 8, Medusa, Bloody Queen, Nightmare, etc 
 On long term they hope to dominate server because all the rest wasted time to take the short term power. Are they on the right way for long term ? Who can tell?  Excepting time....
 2.  Master level rankings; people seems to have low interest on this rankings, I am telling you this because top reset rankings characters have more views than the top Master Level characters:

 In this top, you can see the most powerful characters in game at this moment (Today's Masters, as I like to call them) , while they are concentrating on doing master levels, they can fight for top events and top bosses like Chaos Castle7, Devil Square 7. Blood Castle 8, Medusa, Bloody Queen, Nightmare, etc. Also, they play a key role at the Castle Siege, because they" kick asses really hard", for example: at this moment no one from top 5 rankings can win a player versus player or a player versus monster duel with Catarina. 
  Those players strategy is to get all what they can and reset only when they get near maximum master level for their reset, this provides top ITEMS and a lot of rewards, they hope that they will stay stronger than top exp players even on long term,  thinking that the advantage they already got will compensate the resets from the top ranked exp players, and after they will start to reset, they will level up faster than the other top players who went for top exp rankings.
 On long term will they reduce the experience gap?  Will they dominate? Those questions will remain unanswered until we'll see the end game.

  In this top you can find players that you don`t want to mess around with, in any circumstances, because they are the most active players, The Top Hunters, so they got the best items and top characters in server at this moment.  If you go and start a war against them, be sure that you can keep up with them ! or give up before you will be their target for player kill, player versus player, etc. 
 My advice is to not mess with any of the top ranked players, no matter where they belong, if you are an occasional player vs player.

As the GM of NONE, my hope is that this won't happen to us. We and our allies have a strong core of players bound by friendship and team play, not by items or level.
If we lose, this will only make us come back stronger. If we win and keep Lot, the server might receive a nice surprise

It might be called a curse for sure, but take a look into this, there is always a reason behind it. Mostly guilds that own the castle for a long time got a problems to keep active people for next fights, they're falling in routine with farming ancients at LoT, loosing motivation after some time while there are no guilds strong enough to stand against them for a weeks... even leaving the game for good(don't be scared, those who left always are replaced with some newcomers ) all of them are mostly replaced with people who want to obtain some ancients from LoT without any contribution for a guild or even with alts which makes the guild weaker. That makes active people angry and guild becomes divided in most of the cases that forces players to fall apart, trying something new. I know it from autopsy, from observations of past few seasons of each OldSquad servers. Hope there will be a time while few of guilds will be made to continue fighting each other not just for an victory but for a pleasure and happiness, to take everything that is best from this game

They held the crown for several weeks and they lost the castle in MuPPeTS favor, Evangelion (the guild master of BDSM) disbanded the guild a short time after that defeat. One of the reasons was: internal fights  ripped them apart because they divided in two different guilds, half of them followed Evangelion and merged with Catarina`s team, so that's how a new guild was born :Smurf
 The other half followed Ganja in a brand new guild named HOSTILE and then merged with NONE , this "upgraded" NONE  succeeded to create a top and a strong guild who took the Castle from MuPPeTS.
  MuPPeTs , the second guild who owned the castle on Phoenix seems to also tilt, and follow BDSM direction because they lost (or kicked) a lot of players (only 15 players inside guild before next Castle Siege), will they be strong enough? Will they try to find the resources to rebuild? Or just disband as the last Castle owners?  One thing is sure, last Castle Siege MuPPeTs was just a shadow of the guild who took Castle from BDSM and dominated Phoenix.

Yesterday, at the Russian Roulette event hosted by @Gion , something quite interesting happened...
Cafrune used the event feature Immunity:
So Cafrune activated it right before Sylvanas dropped a 1, taking the Immunity that Cafrune just received! 
Keep in mind that this is a rare event, the odds for someone using the immunity feature right are quite low.
Surprisingly, Cafrune avoided his fate once and could live for another round, but unfortunately, It didn't stop Klitoral from claiming victory in the Russian Roulette event!

Here at the OldSquad Community we want you guys to be up to date with everything we do, so we present to you the latest change in the Blackjack Event!
The double feature was modified so it would fit better the new OSGM System.
The system changes consists of a new point system which reduced the points per win, and now takes into account the amount of event participations each of the characters have.
Lets say, Testsubject1 has 150 OSP and Testsubject2 has also 150 OSP. They are automatically tied by points, so what did we do to reward the most active players that attend to these events? Testsubject1has 5 OSGM event participations while Testsubject2 has 7 OSGM Participations, with the old system they would have to do some sort of tiebreaker but with the new changes to the system Testsubject2 would get the 1st place and the Golden Fenrir because he attended 2 more OSGM events than Testsubject1 did. 
Pretty simple, right? So in order for us to make changes to the system, we had to change the way Double works at BlackJack Event, and we did so In a way that it ma kes it risky but it won't make it so you don't get any consolation. 
To understand the way the new system works you have to know how the previous one did. In previous months, the person that opted to use the "Double feature" which u can find how it works here
would have as a risk making their participation gain no OSP, but could have a shot to win if they landed on 21 or higher than any of the other participants. 
Now with the way the system works, if you use "Double" and you lose the event You will only get 2 OSP and your participation will count.  
We hope this feature makes our OSGM new system more accurate and better for every participant that takes part of it!
