I am walking through Valley of Loren, I am near bridge and the silence is harsh. It is that silence that makes you quake, gives you creeps, and makes you tremble, I don't even know why, is it, maybe, the thought that everything was lost? Everything seems lost in the void of big dreams and high hopes, the sun is setting, but shadows and whispers are rising with the coming of the night ... Everything is cold, so cold ...but when I pass through the first gate of the walls that surround the castle, a flash of memory makes me stop. I remember!! Ohh, I remember the last fight! A fight that made these gates quake, I remember that NONE attacked last time on Phoenix and PRiME defended, what a fight! I start to head to the castle and when I reach the last gate, another thought flashes through my mind: it was a fight in which the titans of the server measured their strength for the last time. 
  "NONE, weakened by the Curse, prepared a final fight, gathered all the warriors remaining alive, tightened the lines and attacked. They wanted to prove that they can win, they wanted to prove to everyone that they still have the prescription of the antidote by which they defeated the curse and all the guilds that wanted to seize the riches of the Land of Trial. They had hopes. This time, PRIME guild no longer had any help from anyone, so it's time to crush them as they did to us in the past -NONE thought- but they hit a wall, a solid wall that didn't break at all, this time, not even a scratch was made in the defense of PRiME. NONE warriors did not give up, they continued the assaults to the end without giving one second back, they attacked even when they knew they were overwhelmed by enemies and had no chance, until the last man standing! They are fighting the Curse."
 I headed towards the castle, I passed the last gate and another flash strikes me: my mouth is dry so I sat down and tried to drink water from the secret spring that hides behind the ruined statue. From the first sip I felt the taste of blood. The blood of so many brave warriors. Another flashback comes into my mind, but it is so cold that I don't know for sure if it was a dream or that really happened, an illusion or a flash of memory? I stood up and I got inside the castle. Now everything is clear : 
 "WhiteRaven was planning the defense. Well, no...  he was not alone, he was consulting with his officers and together they arranged the defense teams and the defensive lines of the last fight. Those warriors seemed still embarrassed by the accusations made by NONE after last siege, the ambition could been read in everyone's eyes, but no one knows what happened.... Were they betrayed and left without the support they had in past? Did they gave up of it because of the accusations? No one seems to care anymore, the only goal is to defend the castle with any cost! Just them! The first NONE assault came, they managed to keep their temper and repel it, followed another attack and another and another .... until time ran out and the winners came out. What a victory! A victory that brought silence to the NONE members. "
  I feel dizzy, looks like I was lost in the dream world too much time, I need heat, food and water, everything is poisoned here, blood flows on the rivers of Valley of Loren and I go to Land of Trials, the gate is open, I got in and I found some "young" gentlemen who are fighting on the few spots. One of them told me that BDSM is holding now the castle and left Land of Trials opened for all. He also says that all the springs here are full of venom, after that he handed me a teleportation scroll and returns to his seek for ancient items. 
  I used the scroll that teleported me to Lorencia, I went straight to the bar, then I have enjoyed some Ale and some apples. After that I discovered a new world and my hope was kindled again!! Phoenix is alive ! A lot of people around, some of them are still  buying, the others are selling, all builds sets and items, even guilds, nothing is lost !! I found out from the pretty lady at the bar called Lumen that the Curse has also buried PRIME guild, she confirms that BDSM have conquered the castle without too much effort and that now there are new Phoenix warriors who want to provoke this guild that seems to have been reborn.

Hello there! Don't misjudge my words, I don't intend to be mean or something, but similar posts about "why somebody should quit" are already up by players. The reasons vary but as Admin recently wrote as a reply to another similar thread (which I cant find ATM) "Nobody cares why you are leaving". So, the remaining ones, let's move with our gaming here and keep things rolling. Now, if you are doing this for statistics I find it a bit faulty and I would suggest to make a form (like in google sheets or something) where people who left/leaving could spend a few minutes to write down some stuff. Again, don't misjudge me please I mean not to offend this post

@Reporter stop talking about we did bad for choosing the long run, i just still hope that players are not chickens, and stop play cause they know who they are! 

This revolutionary thing just happened today, those strong heroes didn't knew who is the best, so, to measure that they have started a duel, not a simply duel for pride, they added stakes, like betting stakes and this is what happened : 
   The amazing Soul Master named Coco, read his interview in the NewsPaper section , accepted the challenge of SoulStrike, which challenged him to a duel. Not just a regular common duel, but one with huge stakes!!! SoulStrike has challenged Coco to a duel for main items, such as Wings 3 and Fenrir. After the negotiations reached a common denominator, a lvl 380 WEAPON + 14 and 1000 credits , the fight has started. In the beginning everything seemed balanced, but it ended with the victory of SoulStrike (10-4). It was an impressive fight, featuring two titans who have tried their powers with a huge stake. 
   Coco paid the bet price, but above all, he paid with the pride of being defeated in front of many viewers, as we know him already, I do not think he will give up becoming the most powerful character on the server. On the other side SoulStrike proves he can beat Coco easily ....     These were the events that took place in this first duel with the big stakes between titans on Phoenix!!!!
   The questions arising from this duel are the following : 
  Did SoulStrike have the courage to ask again the main items as the stake for this bet? 
  Did Coco knew he would lose this bet? That's why he changed the stake?  
 
  I'm waiting for the mystery to be elucidated from the players who know the details, just reply on this topic!!!!   
 
  I am editing this topic because something happened in mean time, Krass with the desire to wash Coco's pride, challenged SoulStrike for another duel, voices and whispers asked for a bet, a stake , but they kind of agreed that they fight for fun.... Krass won duel with 10 kills vs 5, but fight didn't stopped, so Krass demanded 1k credits, but .. let's see.

From what I saw, since Phoenix started, only a few players are participating at the Gaion Event. The others probably do not know how to participate, or do not know how important this event can be, so I created this article where I will detail how you can participate in this Event, and what reward you receive if you do it:  
1 .Gaion Order (what it is and how is found) : 
  The first step you need to do in order to participate to Gaion Event,  is to collect Suspicious Scrap of Paper , just add "scrap" or "paper" in helper's pick up and it will be fine. When you collect 5 pieces of "Suspicious Scrap of Paper" they will automatically turn inside your inventory into Gaion Order - this is the invitation you need to attend the event from Monday to Saturday .
 
2. Registration to the event (from Monday to Saturday): 

   After you have Gaion Order you have to go, with your party, to Lorencia near the ring to search for NPC named "Jerint the Assistant" and register ( if you have a really strong character like Agility Elf or Strength Magic Gladiator you can do this event alone, if you choose the way to go alone get some Mirror Event buffs for damage and "jack o lantern" food for boosting your characters hp) . 
 
3. Gaion Event game play :

After you have registered to "Jerint the Assistant" you will be teleported inside event map and you will have to wait 1 minute to start the event.  When the 60 seconds have passed, you can start destroying the gate, but take care!  Behind the gate there are 7 mobs and 3 of them have the name Medics, if they begin to heal the gate you have to step back just enough to get out from their range and destroy the gate from a distance. When all the monsters are dead, you'll need to look for another gate to destroy and pass through some dangerous spikes or traps that can cause serious damage. At the end of this path, you will find another gate that you have to destroy, so you will go to the next level. The second level of this event is similar to the first one,  after you finish it  you will reach the last level (third one)  The third level is the most important, here comes the boss and if you manage to kill him you will get 5 jewels (bless soul or life) and another item that is named "Secromicon" , this item is dropped for each party member so if you are 5 members in party you will get 5 Secromicons, if your 4 members in party you will get 4 Secromicons and so on... 4.Secromicons :  Every day from Monday to Saturday has a different boss and each boss drops different Secromicon  : Monday's boss drops First Secromicon , Tuesday's boss drops Second Secromicon, Wednesday drops third and so on until Saturday when you take the last Secromicon of the week (the sixth). Bring all six Secromicons  to the Goblin from Noria and craft Complete Secromicon, chance to do it is 100% 
 

  Notice (I repeat this because it is important):  if you want to participate in this event with a single character (or if you do not have Energy Elf in party), make sure you have enough hp potions (minimum 250) and each party member should use (Mirror Event Damage buffs) and Food buff that can be found dropping Pumpkin of Luck.  

5. Sunday Event : To be able to attend the event on Sunday, you need 1 complete Secromicon invitation. Sunday event has 4 stages and each has its own Boss which will drop 5 jewels (bless, soul or life) and there is a chance to drop Talisman of Chaos Assembly . With a higher  average of party level you will get  higher chances to obtain a Talisman of Chaos Assembly  , this means that if you finish 1 Sunday event you will get 100% sure 20 jewels as reward and a high chance to obtain Talisman of Chaos Assembly (Sometimes Monday to Sunday Bosses drops Talisman of Chaos Assembly, but this item has higher chances on Sundays!)
   You can join this event 2 times each day, or 3 times/day if your character has Dealer or Professional VIP activated.

Well truth to be told,  I was a bit upset yesterday for various reasons and tired and wanted to just destroy my gear and quit this server. It was just a bad day in mU continent. I failed one million combinations in goblin, my party was dismissed inside DS, i couldnt find a spot to afk, in crywolf I had zero drops  and everything just sucked. BUT when i tried to upgrade my exc daybreaker ON purpose to be lost, it went to +11. So at the end of the day, and after some more sleep it was all good with a big smile on face. What i'm trying to say here is that it's only natural for people to quit for various reasons which all people above stated correctly. But for me MU overall is a game played with friends, and doing small and big things together! Ofc I know we can't beat any of the whale guild in Crywolf event but we use to  make a party and join the event everytime! So If you ever feel you want to play again "hardcore" and do mid/end stuff and events (with fails tho :P)  or just log in and have small chit-chat while farming <insert random stuff> ,whatever may be the case, you are always welcome to our guild  IMMORTAL! 

This interview is about Aqvila, the guild master of NONE . I have interviewed him because he created the most powerful guild on Phoenix and because he is a top DarkLord on our server.
Reporter: " At this moment you are the best master guild on the server! Congratulations!"
Aqvila : " Thank you, but 90% of the merit is to our members." 
Reporter: " Can you tell us the story of this guild?  "
Aqvila  : " It all started on Non-Reset server, when me and CowsGoMu wanted to exp together, for a long while we were very few but our policy of recruiting people for their character, not lvl or items paid off and most of our members from non rr are still here now. On Phoenix we were one of the first guilds , we took a slow start but after a month our core was so strong we started to compete for top bosses and CS, and we still gold the Castle." 
Reporter: " So, you and CowsGoMu are the founders of NONE? " 
Aqvila : "Yes, we are the founders, Cows came up with the name if I remember correctly"
Reporter : "which was the moment when you started to compete with top GUILDS? What made it? " 
Aqvila: "The moment we started to shine was when we allied with HOSTILE. I'm srry that the ally broke after I quit game. HOSTILE was a very good ally, our alliance with HOSTILE was Coco merit , he went to a lot of BC's with Ganja and negotiate our alliance ."
Reporter: "When you won the first Castle Siege? What happened then? "
Aqvila : "We won it right after we made the alliance with HOSTILE, to be honest, we didn't expect to win.  "
Reporter: "What guild defended? "
Aqvila : " MuPPeTs were the holders, but they were just a shadow of their former guild then."

Aqvila : " It is definetly cursed, but that curse can be avoided with a secret recipe."

Aqvila : "2003, in a smoke filled internet cafe . "

Aqvila : "On extremetop100, last autumn during no reset, I was looking for a no rr server and OS server seemed the best on that list. That proved true. "

Aqvila : " With DIEEEEEEE it all started during the Icarus wars, Icarus was a battlefield back then, also DIEEEEEEE had the balls to fight a whole guild alone , he even stole a few bosses by himself. "

Aqvila : " At one point he decided to pk the top guild while afk. Unfortunately he never showed up for any bosses or important events."

Aqvila : "I'd say Coco, CowsGoMu and WhiteRaven."

Aqvila :" Coco is hand down the strongest char here, and also a very nice person. Cows is probably the most friendly player here, and WhiteRaven I respect him for being a good SM, probably the most skilled SM."
Reporter : "Everyone talks about NONE's guild core, can you name us the most important players in this guild core? "
Aqvila :" Coco, Cows , Trust, Krass, Selphie, Hana, Noisy, Tool they've been in NONE forever and will stay in NONE, and let's not forget Youpi, cutest of them all."
Reporter: "Can you tell us a short story about each? How you recruited them ?
Aqvila :" Cows is my cofounder, as I said , he's always the voice of reason, Coco was one of the first guys to join us pro from very first week, Thrust joined us when Phoenix started and he quickly became one of the elders of the guild, Noisy also joined us on non rr ,the story of his life is looking for Anubis ring , Selphie and Hana, we recruited on no rr as well."
Reporter: "But NoisyBoy was in BDSM2, if I remember right....."
Aqvila " He was a spy! "
Reporter: "Oooo, a spicy info, can you tell us a short story about that?"
Aqvila :" At that point , BDSM dominated every boss, and held CS for a couple of weeks. We decided that we need to evaluate their strength, and, why not, loot some ancients. Noisy was the man for the job, interesting thing he has 3 chars, BDSM asked him to remove all alts from NONE, but a little EE stayed. The most interesting thing tho is he didn't have much to spy on."
Reporter: "Do you know what happened to BDSM? Why this guild disbanded? "
Aqvila :" I'm not familiar with the details, but a little bird told me smth about greed."
Reporter: "The Curse ripped them?"
Aqvila: "Probably, the castle brings out the worst in us." 
Reporter :" What do you need to have in order to handle the challenges of a master guild to become the server leader ?"
Aqvila:" Most important, patience, a cool head and the ability to listen to your guild members, and, last but not least , respect for rivals."
Reporter:" So you need to be a top psychologist and a good strategist? Something like" keep your friends close but your enemies closer"?"
Aqvila :" That's right, matters more than gear or lvl."
Reporter: "Have you ever had a moment in wanting to quit being a Guild Master?
Aqvila :" To be honest, once or twice, but I am happy I didn't."
Reporter: "What happened?"
Aqvila :" Land of Trial drama once, and a condor feather dropped from Medusa, but always, we found a way to solve them."
Reporter: "How did you managed those situations?"
Aqvila :" We solved lot issue by letting our guys enforce, our only two rules and now that I think about it that medusa incident sparked our ally break, even if we settled it for the moment. I don't really like rules, so we had 2 for LoT always re auto and no more then 1 char in LoT, apart from that we didn't had any guild rule, just don't be a dick (too much)."
Reporter: " Do you read the newspaper? "
Aqvila : "Yea , I never missed an article , even after I stopped playing, drama is too juicy to miss."
Reporter: "What do you suggest to improve on it?"
Aqvila : " You should join the main events, CS, evening IT, CW and record videos to report on them, you already do that for CS actually, but the other events are very interesting. Another idea would be to make short interviews randomly just to random event/spot, and find out about a random player."
Reporter:" Thank you for tips!"
Reporter: "On a scale from 1 to 10, how much do you like this server?"
Aqvila : " Phoenix, 9/10."
Reporter: " What do you like the most in our server, and what do you dislike? "
Aqvila : "I think the best features are the xp stages... Dislike , I think the pvp formulas should be kept close to the original principle, something like :SM should be high dmg but squishy, the pvp balance here is not bad, but not what you expect if you played regular mu before, and can you add in your interviews a print screen with the interviewed players?"
Reporter :" So , basically you say that tanks should be tanks and the damage dealers to be damage dealers. "
Aqvila :" Exactly, tweaked, but keep the basic principle."
Reporter: " If you could ask ADMIN any questions, what would be the most important ones that comes through your mind ? "
Aqvila : " When will the next non reset edition come? Admin plays the game as a regular player? Did Admin had any servers before OldSquad? "
Reporter: "  Who do you want me to interview next, from OldSquad rankings (top number one) ?  "
Aqvila : " I will name Krass , but he is not top ranked 1 on any rankings so I would like to hear Zutto (both most skilled with BK)."

At its peak, Phoenix had around 550 online characters. Till this day, after 4 months, we still have ~37x -40x online characters, this shows how stable this server is. Regarding why people are stopping, I believe there are a couple of reasons:
It's the nature circle of MU, you get bored after awhile. No character progression due to RNG factors and bad economy. This happens very frequently. I knew a few players who left because of chaos globin. At one point, I considered stop playing because I failed 3rd wings 6 times in a row in 2 days. I offered like 3 condor feathers+2flame+jwl/credits, nobody wants to sell me. This server is very very bad in term of economy. Particularly, people here tend to hold on their valuable items and ask for ridiculous price.  The classes they played are weak. Some of us are very competitive, some tried very hard but their character was weak no matter what, so they left. Life stuff especially if you are a lone player. My team has 4 players but we mostly have had only 2 players active. I went on 3 week vacations, another took 2 weeks, and another took 2 weeks. It's summer. New server is open in around 1-2 months. I will stick around Phoenix though, reset server is not my taste anymore.  
Nevertheless, this is the most stable season that OldSquad has. In previous seasons, the online counter usually reduces by half after 2 months. Of course, there are a lot of room for improvement, such as making the game pace faster and improving economy. Now it is 4th month but no player with full socket set, only one player has 4th wings, a lot of people who played since the beginning still do not have 3rd wings, etc.
At the end of the day, stick around and have fun man. You always have Trau in this server.

1. We're considering the option to change from ML to normal and vice-versa at the cost of halving the points instead of resetting them to 0.
2. What you're speaking about can work only on a system that has over 500-600 registered players all the time, so the pool is big enough, else you'll never find such target with low number of people registered. In future if there will be more people on the system there will be some stages and other improvements, but for now it can't work.
3. It's possible that you had only 2 slot space in inventory and it was requiring 3 slots for the reward (small bug, will be fixed). There aren't any messages if you have the space or not, but it's my only guess that can happen if you finish quest without reward.
Rewards in future will be adjusted at any stage of the game, for sure, but when the system will be 100%.
We thought about removing support chars from event, but we'll instead make more stages (it was planned from start anyway), where you start with smaller exp (for all chars) and progress through kills and other type of quests. For now we'll let as it is to have enough chars in system so we can test and fix things having higher sample.
About the guild/ally, on the next improvements it will first search outside of guild/ally players, if it won't find anything it will assign from guild/ally.

What we're working on:
- Reassign another target if the current target is on the same gens family and it is on a gens map.
- Skip EE punishment if EE is mercenary.
- Try to reassign another target if current are in safe-zones.
- Show current target when writing /pvpquest while a quest is up.
- We're considering a "repel" feature where the targets can earn 30 points if they kill the mercenary that comes for them before being killed by them.

Those that made a proper feedback and left their char names have been rewarded.
What was possible (and good) to do during this current edition was released in the latest update. But there are still things that we consider good enough to be made or adjusted for the next edition (including economy, chars tweaks and other aspects).

Well CW was alive on previous DB  becouse there were a lots of fights between players. And ppl killed everyone on battle maps, sometimes even on normal maps. That's when CW was used, when ppl went to sleep or to work and noone was able to look after party. Now noone kills anyone. There are no raids on battle maps. Noone will lose  exp to stay and hunt for fenrir instead stay on vulcanus/relic/swamp.
Maybe with better mats drop it would be alive, but again fenrir is end game item, it shouldn't be easy. I don't know how many ppl would go to CW just to drop fenrir mats, probably ppl would just put alts there.

The MOST Major thing is,FENRIR MATS MAKE IT A DECENT DROP(Crywolf is a ghost map)

Remove Horn/mats for fenrir from ob 3/4  Crywolf is a dead map, bring back fenrir farm(with decent drop rate)  FOR REAL CRYWOLF IS DEAD DEAD DEAD(increase drop for fenrir mats FOR REAL)

Castle Siege should have more ''stages'' when the server progress, to keep motivation up. maybe something like a weekly rotation on drops on erohim, so lets say on cs week 9 he has chance to drop xxx but only one kill per week, and make him actually feel like a boss Remove Jewels from OB +5 but reduce chance for ob +5 to drop Remove Horn/mats for fenrir from ob 3/4  Crywolf is a dead map, bring back fenrir farm(with decent drop rate) Let people with murder status enter events like cc etc. Class vs Class duels or stage Arena. you fight random opponent and if you win you move on to next round Helpers, where did they go? should have been added long ago to help newbies Economy: Way to many jewels around, when people offer 500/500 for items its getting abit to much. Remove spots with Hydra,Ice Queen,Gorgon, Bil of balrog etc, and make them have a chance for exc drop as they have on newer  versions(respawn time high and random) perfect for newbies to stumble onto and reciving their first exc. Make RF.,MG,DL same lvl for warp/events like other classes Increase days Vip last or release one that last longer. On battle maps let us pk same gens during events(Medusa,queen) (Murder status ) Increase points for CC win. a win should always give more score then just farming mobs in my opinion. Increase cs damage for later game, at current stage I think all can agree its like a wet noodle contest. Budges in more maps(not more budges, just more maps to spawn in) Make Imperial alot harder, should need a decent party, not filling slots with alts Remove Fenrir/Unria/Dinorant from Arena
