Im just going to write this just in case someone else has the same problem. Got a NVME to PCIE adapter, replaced the 'new' SSD with old one where everything worked, deleted all partitions on new one, formatted again and running the game from the old one. We will see over time if its a permanent solution. No idea what caused it
-
Its pretty much you either change your hard drive or you wont have two windows. At least thats my case
-
I made it work. Its bittersweet though. I had backup SSD from last year. Took the new 2TB Samsung out [on which the game worked just fine for over 8 weeks] and put back 1TB Intel that came with the PC. And it works without problem. Identical programs and settings. Im talking to PS devs but not sure they will be any help because after exhaustive explanation what I've already done their advice was restart your PC and disable defender and ransomware protection. Im now ordering PCIe NVMe Adapter to be able to have both SSDs at the same time and if that doesnt work my theory is correct the hardware ID is flagged.
-
Just formatted both SSDs just to be sure. The first things installed on fresh Win 11 were chrome and oldsquad client. Im 100% sure this error message is the problem and it only appears once you try it for the first time on new windows and never again

So it doesnt work after resetting your PC, it doesnt work after clean install of Windows but it works in Virtual machine. That makes me think it flags your hardware ID as problem so I went and changed id of both of my SSDs and it worked! For a few seconds before both game client windows disappeared again. So clearly the problem is with PS gameguard and Im done, fck this

Thanks for your suggestion. I spent on this problem a few days now and here is most of the things I have tried to do so far: Delete all traces of MU online client and download fresh one Added exception for main.exe and launcher.exe to antivirus and firewall Tried all different compatibility modes Downloaded Malware bytes, CCleaner, Registry cleaner to get rid of any viruses, rootkits etc Tried to run client without VPN, with my paid version of Express VPN and with free Proton VPN [the only one that actually works for me] Created another user profile on Windows and tried to run the second client there All the suggestions from text file in game folder !!!!ATTENTION IF GAME IS NOT WORKING Used sandbox Reinstalled Visual C++ Rolled back windows updates with which the game run ok before Updated graphic card Flushed DNS and reset network Reset Windows with keeping my settings And probably few more things I cant remember atm. My only guess I have left is that around that time I installed ReShade for NFS which online game servers can flag it as cheating. I uninstalled ReShade the proper way, deleted the game and went through registry to get any mention deleted but its not easy. Right now Im in the process of reinstalling the whole Windows and if that doesnt work I'll just stop playing, cant be bothered anymore because as you say, some people play 8 chars and I cant run 2 instances of the client at the same time.

when trying to open the second window there is always new log in MuError2 ###### Log Begin ###### ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mu online 1.04e (Eng) executed. (1.4.5.0) 2025/02/05 13:08 I also found this bit in ogg.dll __MSVCRT_HEAP_SELECT runtime error TLOSS error SING error DOMAIN error R6028 - unable to initialize heap R6027 - not enough space for lowio initialization R6026 - not enough space for stdio initialization R6025 - pure virtual function call R6024 - not enough space for _onexit/atexit table R6019 - unable to open console device R6018 - unexpected heap error R6017 - unexpected multithread lock error R6016 - not enough space for thread data so I tried reinstalling Visual C++ in case its a virtual memory problem but with 32gb ram I doubt it. Im obviously catching at straws here so any idea is welcome btw Im not getting even the gameguard start up as SpArkieS described in similar problem couple topics down, it just does nothing when double clicking main.exe or start game in launcher

Have anyone got any suggestions what to do when there is no response to trying to open second window of the game? Its been working for many months and suddenly over night my game crashed. Since then every time one client is running and I try to open another window it doesnt react. I followed every advice here and searched internet for days, cant make it work. There are no viruses, no changes to PC, followed every step in folder to fix game crash.

I also reinstalled the game, followed every step in troubleshoot section just in case, emailed the PS Gameguard with all relevant data, nothing worked, noone got back to me. I dont know if its even possible to change your HWID but Im out of options. -
Hi, I keep getting this error for past two days. I can connect with one account, not the other one. There is nothing in my processes, tried with vpn and without. Different compatibilities, restarting several times. Couldnt find anything here or their website. Playing on Win 11, no viruses. Any ideas? Thank you
