    Many of you were expecting us to announce the new Max30RR edition, as its time has come.

    We won't release Max30RR as our next edition, it will be kept for later on this year.

    Due to the amount of good feedbacks received from you, our dear players, and the 'not-as-expected' experience that our current NonReset offered (yes, we can also fail, it's part of learning/adjusting to player needs process), we decided to profit from the momentum that we currently have and to reward our non-reset lovers for their valuable input, giving it one more shot without waiting 1 more year for the next non-reset style (to lose the momentum and feedback in time).

    And, that's not all, we decided to combine the non-reset experience with the reset-experience in order to reward those 'reset-lovers' that were waiting for the new Max30RR edition.

    Aaand, that's not all, while current NonReset is (should have been) a full hard-core non-reset server (we promise that will be, on his next edition), our new project is kinda semi-hard style (not hardcore, not medium, a combination of them), and a much different experience compared to current NonReset (that still keeps his unique gameplay).

    We want to present you our next server: Project Phoenix (suggestive name, arghh?)

    Once again, in this MU Online world, OldSquad is bringing another innovation to this oldie game!

    Phoenix will have a completely unique and different gameplay compared to anything you have played before.

    The PHOENIX concept was born from 'try-fail-learn' mistakes and also from your own feedbacks and needs.
    What's unique about PHOENIX? Well, EVERYONE will have a chance to compete, and the whole feeling of the server will please both low-exp/long-term lovers and also casuals/pvp-players that prefer to farm less and fight more, while having decent chances.

    There are 2 big aspects of PHOENIX, as it is a combination of Non-Reset server with a Max-Reset server:

    1. Non-Reset Gameplay:

    The first part of the server is the level 0-400 part. It is considered to be a semi-hard experience, a bit higher than the original NonReset, designed for everyone to be able to complete it in a decent amount of time in order to start competing (both casuals and hard-core players). The dynamic system plays it's role during this level 0-400, but in this server, instead of going up and down, it goes only from down to up (decrease -> increase) as game progress, in order to make it feel smooth at all the level stages (uniform progress instead of exponential progress). Example of old system: You were spending 2 days for level 1-200 and 3 more for level 200-220. Now, instead, you'll spend 4-5 days for 1-220 in an uniform way.
    The Non-Reset part of the gameplay also includes 2 breaks (with some content being released with them). The breaks are from 300-320 and 380-395.
    The breaks needs 3 passers in order to be done (3 people to pass the level break). All 3 of them will be rewarded for the break-completion, and when the 3rd player finish the break, entire break-exp will be 50% from server exp, easier for the rest of players, until the next break completion, when the first one will be removed. Example of break: If normal exp is 15.000 at level 299, when you enter break exp at 300, you will get only 10-15% of normal exp (which is 1.500-2.250 in this case). When first 3 players finish the break, the exp for the rest of server for that break will be 50%. That means the rest of players will get around 7.500 exp.

    2. Max-Reset Gameplay:

    When you reach level 400, that's the moment when the gameplay explodes. You need to choose what you're going to do depending on your time. You have 3 different options:
    - Go for the reset(s) - maximum 10, all optional.
    - Go for the Quest3 and start farming Master Level for a PvP advantage.
    - Go for hunting/bosses/etc. as you have advantage over those that went for resets and farm your items, prepare for the moment when others will be able to compete again.

    Now, most of casual players will stick with 400 and won't go for resets if they don't want to, but there are also pros and contras for why to do or not the resets.
    Firstly, if you choose to stay with level 400, you can only make limited amount of Master Level, that is raised after each reset. Secondly, you will have a really low ML exp, that is increasing after each reset.
    Thirdly,
    each reset will bring you 40 extra points to spend and also UNIQUE BUFFS to your character (buffs like increase DD%, increase AG%, increase HP%, increase DMG%, etc.), each reset giving better and better bonuses.
    Now, the resets comes also with minuses, and they are the fact that you need to make the level 0-400 again, but with a lower exp for each reset you do. Apart from that, you won't be able to compete for hard things when you are going for resets due to lower level than opponents.

    So, as a conclusion, the PHOENIX concept is giving everyone a fair chance to START competing (with low effort), a medium chance for everyone to be really good (doing few resets, doing some ML), and a hard chance for people that really wants to be THE BEST (real long-term run that will be worth for every bonus and points you get extra, until 10 resets).

    Some bonus Gameplay info:

    • Quest 3 have low drops - it is hard - expect from few hours to few days to drop your items.
    • ML can be done on any mobs over level 95 (default GMO).
    • At 0 resets you can make maximum of 40 ML.
    • At 1 reset you can make maximum of 75 ML.
    • At 2 resets you can make maximum of 100 ML.
    • At 3 resets you can make maximum of 130 ML.
    • At 4 resets you can make maximum of 160 ML.
    • At 5 resets and onwards you can make maximum of 200 ML.
    • After each maximum ML level the ML exp goes down with 6% (it goes down at 40,75, etc.).
    • Each reset will raise the ML rate of the previous levels with 20% exp.
    • Example:
      At 0 resets you have 100% ML exp for level 0-40.
      At 1 reset you have 120% ML exp for level 0-40 and 100% ML exp for 41-75.
      .
      At 6 resets you have 220% ML exp for level 0-40, 200% ML exp for level 41-75, 180% ML exp for level 76-100, 160% ML exp for level 101-130, 140% ML exp for level 131-160, 120% ML exp for level 161-200.
      .
      At 10 resets you have 300% ML exp for level 0-40, 280% ML exp for level 41-75,....etc.
    • Swamp mobs are boosted compared to the rest of default mobs in level to offer the best ML exp from all maps.
    • There is no reset stats on web! So be careful with how you add your points! You can only reset stats with reset fruits farmed ingame (BoK+1/BoK+2/OldBox1/OldBox2).
    • 4 NON-PVP maps: Aida(1,2), Karutan1, Kalima7 and Crywolf where you can only KS.
    • 4 GENS maps: Atlans, Vulcanus, Raklion and Swamp.
    • All other maps are 100% PVP, with free KS (no ban), free PK (no ban).
    • PK clear is off, so if you want to PK you must also wait 20-60 minutes to clear and/or you must kill mobs.
    • Swamp is a level 395+ map designed only for Master Level.
    • Kalimas are populated!
    • There is no ARENA (forget about leveling on the same place for 3 months, that's not how MU is supposed to be).
    • Exp will be raised for lower levels anytime we consider (to encourage new players).


    You would think that this are the only things that Phoenix brings. You're totally wrooong!

    We worked (and we're still working) hard to touch all of your good feedbacks for Phoenix.
    That means, up to 60% of the gameplay will be totally reworked (events, PK system, items progression, rates, characters builds diversification, socket system/seeds rework, new features, etc. etc.)
    While there is no full info yet, we'll keep you updated as we're working on and we'll try to release info one at a time, before the opening.

    What we can release you now is that, another major change that we made is to rework entire credits system & VIP system:

    You had feedbacks about credits system as well, which most of them were took into consideration.

    We reworked entire credits system to provide much smoother experience for everyone involved (donators,non-donators and us).

    The major changes are:
    - We removed/reduced easy ways of getting credits (to avoid abuses) while increased the overall credits that can be obtained by active playing (all active methods were boosted).
    - We decided to let players Buy/Sell items on Market with Credits as well (apart from the normal currencies). This thing will help overall economy by:
    *Making an easy and safe way to transfer credits from one account to another (without farmed credits in abusive ways, that were removed).
    *Making it easy for main chars / main players of guilds to help support chars (EE's, tanks, etc.) with credits.
    *Making it even easier for players that doesn't want to donate but are really active to obtain credits (by selling their farmed items).
    *Making it even easier for newbies/lower chars to catch up if they choose to donate, while helping the older players that doesn't want to donate.
    - We reworked VIP System into 3 big different types (Hunter, Farmer & Professional).
    The main objective is to reduce the overall EXP gained by VIP's (to reduce the gap even further) while adding other low-impact advantages that can attract people to farm/invest for VIP at any stage of game (not only on first weeks/months).
    Apart from that, we're making it in a way that you can always opt for any VIP options based on your preferences/budget, instead of having only 1 top option (Silver-VIP).
    - We reworked prices for some modules in order to balance things out.
    - We added your requested feature: Add Option (upgrade the item to +12 add, from +0/+4/+8).

    This are the full changes:

    - Online hours credits were removed (easy to abuse under new system to transfer credits from xx zombies left to make credits only on different machines).
    - Credits for vote are now 2 per Vote instead of 10 per Vote (easily abusable on the new system - with this low amount is it not worth the time and effort).
    To compensate for this change, your votes will still matter a lot, because now there are 100 winners in weekly top votes, starting from 200 credits 1st place to 2 credits 100th place.
    - Increased credits for rabbits from 2 credits/kill to 4 credits/kill.
    - Referral system - Increased credits from 100/referral to 150/referral when they reach level 400.
    - Weekly Voters: 100 places -> from 200 credits 1st place to 2 credits 100th place. (Increased from 30 places and 60 credits for 1st place).
    - Weekly BC: 30 places -> from 150 credits 1st place to 5 credits 30th place. (Increased from 20 places and 100 credits for 1st place).
    - Weekly DS: 30 places -> from 150 credits 1st place to 5 credits 30th place. (Increased from 20 places and 120 credits for 1st place).
    - Weekly CC: 25 places -> from 150 credits 1st place to 6 credits 25th place. (Increased from 15 places and 105 credits for 1st place).

    - Golden Goblin: Increased from 2 credits to 3 credits.
    - Golden Titans + Devils: Increased from 3 credits to 4 credits.
    - Golden Crusts + Tantalos + Golems: Increased from 4 credits to 5 credits.
    - Golden Satyros: Increased from 6 credits to 8 credits.
    - Golden Iron Knight + Twin Tale: Increased from 8 credits to 12 credits.
    - Golden Budge Dragon: Increased from 10 credits to 12 credits.
    - WW: Increased from 10 credits to 15 credits.
    - GGD: Increased from 15 credits to 20 credits.
    - Dark Elves: Increased from 20 credits to 25 credits.
    - Cursed: Increased from 20 credits to 30 credits.
    - Nightmare: Increased from 30 credits to 40 credits.
    - Kundun: Increased from 35 credits to 40 credits.
    - Bloody Queen: Increased from 40 credits to 50 credits.
    - Medusa: Increased from 50 credits to 55 credits.
    - Selupan: Increased from 50 credits to 60 credits.
    - Balgass: Increased from 75 credits to 80 credits.

    - Hunter VIP: 1000 credits / 7 days.
