This is not the first time when I see a player who makes mini events to help the new players. All the newbies appreciate any help they can get, and who can help them more than old players?  
 
  An "old" OldSquad member started to do mini events to help players that just joined our server. I saw this, and being impressed, I wanted to make an article about it, because it is a great opportunity to help the new comers, and to make them enjoy this server. I tried to get in contact with him and first he told me that he is not doing this to see his name on forum. I have explained that this article is not about making anyone famous, so if any of you wants to make events like this, to help our community, I can help!! Just email Reporter in game, with at least 24 hours before you want to start doing your event, or reply to this topic and I will do my best to help, making some free publicity and animation in game
  I think OldSquad community will grow and will be more united with those charity events, you don't need to wait for Gion or any GM to make server more attractive with events, to get the newcomers feel good in our server, to help them get a decent gear, also you can have fun helping low players too, if you can and want. If you wanna help newbies but you don't have any idea of any event, just ask here for support, and I think a lot of players will give you "hints" !!

This interview is about the most disciplined VIP player from the server. I have interviewed him because Coco named him, and because I think it is not easy to get to number one in vote ranking, more than 8 weeks .....
   So, let's hear what he wants to share with us:

FKingCunt : "We started on this server with a few people, we wanted to play casual..... so we created MuPPeTs, as a guild for us, just friends, we went CS 10 people all the time, and we won 2 weeks. We never wanted to play very active, but, as usually, we play active. We broke guild because we wanted to play CS, and in 10 people you can't compete" 
Reporter: " This Saturday Smurf/Void lost the castle because you were outnumbered by the NONE guild, what happened?"
FKingCunt : " Yeah, same reason, we were like 12-15 people online. No one can come in a Saturday, people got families and days off, they not gonna play mu. It's a bad day for CS, for most of us, also NONE guild have probably 60 active people ... they have from who to choose."

We are not the most important, this is my personal thinking, you don't need to say that. I think each of us should be the same, maybe some people don't have time to play, if you know what I mean, this game is like life... not all of us can be the top of the pyramid...But we depend on the average people  "

FKingCunt : " In CC, AE stuns for ages, you can't even attack. Str DL, when finishes the mana, needs to wait for a few seconds before he can attack. Invasions sometimes drops 2x rewards which is not fair, also, I saw DL 1 shot me, with the Vulcanus bug, or battle map"
Reporter: "But after the new update? Dark Lord's skill, fire scream, should be fixed now. "
FKingCunt: "Now it's Ok. Also, I think that the pvp is not fair... never saw a SM to beat BK/RF/DL with ancient set. I think it has 2 much dmg, also big defense , maybe I'm wrong ....Well, something strange with SM, you can't be tank and top pvp. If you are, it means that SM is OP "

  This was the interview of FKingCunt, first character on vote rankings. I appreciate the time and honest answers, and I hope that we will hear Catarina, Ganja, DIEEEEEEEE and Coco's answers, as reply to this topic, but all News Paper's readers can reply and share with us their opinion, because your opinion does matter for us!!!  . 

Last Saturday was a pretty unbalanced fight during the Castle Siege, but still a lot of things happened, so here are the most important ones:
 Smurf tried to defend the throne even tough they seem to have no chance from the very first minute, they resisted about 30 minutes, then their defense collapsed. Smurf didn't gave up and tried to attack more than half an hour after NONE took the crown, even if NONE had twice as many active players than them.  
 On the other side, NONE took the crown in the first 30 minutes, as they outnumbered Smurf and they did that without a great effort. After NONE warriors did the "hardest part" , taking the crown from Smurf , they had some "fun defending", another 30 minutes until Smurf decided to quit and move on spots.
 In those two weeks that passed, NONE and Smurf members complained that they can not give their best shot on Castle Siege because the event is Saturday and Saturday is a bad day for this major event, arguing that Saturday is a day for parties (real life ones ) or a day in which they spend time with family etc., even if one and a half months ago there was a Poll, where the majority of players decided that Castle Siege should be held on Saturday. 
As NONE took The Crown back from Smurf (being a premiere on Phoenix), they answered one of the past questions, and have proven, once again, that they are a strong and an united guild that can stand up against anyone. It is premature to say this, but maybe they got the antidote for The Curse? 
 Smurf will have a chance to prove that they are better than NONE next week, when the Castle Siege day will be fixed...
 Admin listened to both guild members complaints and reopened a POLL to fix the best day for this Major Event and majority decided that Castle Siege should be held on Sundays from now on.

  The [Continent of MU] was once a flourishing empire, located in the Pacific Ocean, to the west of the Americas. Now, much time has passed, and the millennium-old empire has completely lost its control. While the power of the central government continues to wane, feudal lords have become obsessed with power, destroying the once beautiful land. Civil wars have crumbled what strength remains of the government and its armed forces.
 
The story...
 Over a millennium's time, the [Continent of MU] had advanced and developed into an empire of great strength and government. The continent thrived with great power, setting in the Pacific Ocean, to the west of the Americas. With great strength, came great knowledge. High priests had written a Great Prophecy, known as the [Secromicon], which had foretold a warning about the future of [MU]. Although it was an observed and respected article, the events foretold would become inevitable. Eventually, the [Continent of MU] fell into overwhelming chaos when great leaders, who had once controlled the continent, were greeted with overwhelming forces from feudal lords. As such, the central government began to crumble quickly, as internal strife and warfare of these "power hungry" feudal lords brought the kingdom asunder.

 The millennium of peace and bounty which once was, is now a mere memory as darkness stains the land with blood. The outcome from civil wars have laid waste to the once beautiful land. To this day, the shedding of blood has no end. Feudal lords are endlessly building forces in attempt to re-establish what once was, but under their own rule. A popular feudal lord, known as [Antonias], was duped into resurrecting [Kundun] through to his own obsession for power. [Lemuria], an evil sorcerer, used [Antonias] lust to easily manipulate him into doing deceiving tasks for her. Many millenniums ago, [Kundun], the Devil of Darkness, had been sealed away with mighty magical power to lay his evil to rest. [Kundun] was sealed by 10 Sealing Stones, which were scattered across the [Continent of MU]. [Lemuria] used [Antonias] to abuse his power to obtain these Sealing Stores in order to complete the resurrection ritual of [Kundun]. This act of deception ultimately destroyed the entire continent.
And there, in the darkness, the final battle -- [Kundun] says: "Much worse is on the way."   The rays of light, mentioned in the [Secromicon], speak of the ritual to seal [Kundun] away. It is the last hope of [MU]. With the power of the [Seal of Etramu], the very seal which maintained [Kundun's] imprisonment, one can surely return peace to the land once more. Gathering the 10 pieces, now in possession of [Kundun], will be a difficult task. It is told that the 10 pieces were scattered into [Acheron], the mysterious island of elemental monsters. Help collect the 10 pieces, seal away [Kundun], and you'll earn your right to bear [Archangel Weapons], the most divine weapons crafted from the [Guardians of MU]. It is time for one to become a true hero!
 
[Lemuria] says: They cannot beat you with sword or spell, so they will try and conquer you with kindness. Remember the old Shepherd's saying, "If you can't kill the wolf, tame it. A beast that trusts you won't see the blade until it's too late." [Lemuria] continues, wrapping her arms around [Antonias]: More wars are won in back rooms and dark alleys than on the battlefield, Antonias. Do not allow yourself to be tamed. [Lemuria] then quickly turns, and walks gracefully away from [Antonias].   The [Seal of Etramu], used to resurrect [Kundun], was once again dismantled by the beast, and scattered across the continent once more. This time, the Sealing Stones would be in the hands of [Kundun's] many armies. Now, 2 years after the matter, [Kundun] defiled the continent with his touch. Amidst the chaos, all have lost faith and control only showing fear or bloodshed. [Kundun] released his rage merely as vengeance of his long confinement. Quickly, [MU] became home to [Kundun's] minions and the evil of his reign befouled all that was once pure.

Nightmare's Day, a passage from the Great Prophecy, had indeed come true. It was no longer merely the words of days gone by, but the history of an inevitable society. Wise men began their studies anew, focusing on the [Secromicon's] words. With much study, hope and longing for the rays of light, mentioned within the writings of the [Secromicon], became the faith of the decaying society.

Coco: " Don't think so, it is easy to counter it by having high hp"

Last week was a kind of silent one, until a shadow came from past to hunt the top rankings reset players, a silent war started by Trau and his crew against those strong heroes, and the traces of midnight silent battles were seen every morning in safe zones.... The other wars for Main Events such as Invasions and Bosses were balanced, fights between NONE and Smurf were equal, pray divided between them.
  Another moment to remember this week was when NONE decided to share Land of Trial with all the server and invite all the fighters inside, to have an ancient epic feast, hoping that this generous gesture would straighten the eyes of the Gods toward them and with divine protection beside them will win again next day . 
 Saturday came, NONE and Smurf have been intensely prepared for this fight and as I told you, another page has been written in the History of the Castle :
 NONE warriors fought hard, just before the first hour of the siege, it seemed they would not be defeated, as they successfully rejected Smurfs assaults , but then something happened, something broke , they lost their balance.....
 On the other side, Smurf fought hard from beginning until end, with the fresh memory of the last defeat, they assaulted the Castle without stopping, until they felt the "smell of blood". That was the moment when they attacked the "open wound" that was opened inside NONE's guild chest and hit it with their best shot....  NONE collapsed and didn't found the power to reorganize, after they lost Crown in the middle of the fight, they felt overwhelmed by the enemy's force.
 The remaining time passed quickly and Smurf's warriors managed to win the Crown and put it on Yami's head. After these events some new questions begin to appear while the other old ones remains unanswered :
 How long Smurf will dominate the server? Does NONE has the strength to come back next week and take back the crown? Will the curse hunt them down ? Did they got the antidote?

I don't see the logic between disbaling the Ice Arrow in IT and not disabling the same skill in CC, where AE's abuse it pretty much easily. Also this skill is kinda bugged in the server, many times when an Elf uses it on you - you can't attack like you are stunned, but they can attack you  I kinda don't remember how it was in next seasons but for sure in previous seasons I think it wasn't like this. Never faced this struggle in any other server I have played, correct me if I am wrong?

I dont really have any imput about IT.
But I can say that I also notice that most of the time when your ice arrowed you cant do any skills at all, acts just like your stunned

This system just destroy de server..coz after someone kill me i just off my PC, and stay online only 4-6 hours per day after work. I dont want to stay online in safe-zone all night and all day when im on work coz some NPC say "kill him". 

I respect Ganja as I respect all the people that made a character and got ranked first on any of our rankings, not less and not more! I know that some of you will associate me with Ganja, everyone can say anything, so here we go :
 This interview is about a top Agility Elf player, and believe me, I started the interview at at least 20:00 server time, and around  21:00 server time, when I  tracked him, he asked me to stop(during interview there were a lot of "stops"  because he is active on all events. His activity is admirable!!! )   
   I have been following him on all the active events: invasions, then Illusion Temple, after that I tracked him on Cry Wolf, BloodCastle, Medusa, Kundun (where someone accused him for using hacks), then Golden Invasion. Just following him was an adventure, he went to all active events, in the mean time , and still found time to answer our questions. The interview lasted for several hours, but any answer worth each second I've spent!! .

Reporter: " Can you tell us how did you accomplished that? "
 Ganja : " My character (AE) is Good at this Event , with correct positioning it's easy to win the event. "

 Ganja : " I am online a lot during event times and I am afk while there is nothing to do, hard to say really"   
Reporter: "Can you try? An average of time since you started? 
Ganja: "Probably if combine the events, about 5-6 hours, but I like to say that it depends on the day."

Ganja: " No, at the moment I am a little short on credits, but I try to farm enough for VIP every week."

Ganja : "AE is good for Non PVP Goldens and  Blood Castle, in rest probably Summoner is better, only difference is that AE can do all this because of its high defense , however with a full party I think Summoner is better then AE in almost all events."
Reporter: " Who is the player which you dislike the most in this server ? 
Ganja: " I won't give names, but I dislike people who cheat in any way, and I dislike people who try too hard, to the point where they favor what set you have over what kind of person you are"

Ganja: " I don't generalize people by what guild are they in. Every guild has some good and bad people"

Ganja : " Nobody is invincible, Smurfs have a good chance at castle if they attend it more actively, to be honest last castle siege I told Coco that I think we are gonna lose , but we pulled through  "

Ganja: " Can you get more GM's, to be more involved with community? I am not talking about auto events like 20 questions, there is a lot of fun stuff a GM can do  "

DIEEEEEEEE: "On last CS I just rested in nature after work, and Saturday is a really bad day for CS, so why Smurf lost? I don't know."

Reporter: "In the past, you were a member of GROM guild, what happened to them?  " 
DIEEEEEEEE: "I liked this Guild, honestly I like this game play but they are to blame for what happened, they almost destroyed the server."
Reporter : I will tell you all a short story about GROM guild :
  On last Non Reset data base, most of the members of guild GROM (which was the strongest guild in last 3 data bases, as far as I know ) got banned or they had "their" items deleted by ADMIN because they used cheats. This action had a huge impact on non reset server's game play balance but also made players like me to respect more this server and Staff Members because cheaters should not have room in any server!!!!! No matter how many are they and what will be the short time impact of clearing them out! 
     Now lets get back to DIEEEEEEE's interview:
Reporter: "Do you think this server is better then last ones you have played?  "
DIEEEEEEEE: "Yes, of course, Admin makes a great job! "
Reporter: "If you could ask ADMIN any question, what would be the most important that comes into your mind? "

Castle Siege History,
 
First guild to own the Castle on Phoenix was BDSM . They held the crown for several weeks and they lost the castle in MuPPeTS favor, Evangelion (the guild master of BDSM) disbanded the guild a short time after that defeat. One of the reasons was: internal fights  ripped them apart because they divided in two different guilds, half of them followed Evangelion and merged with Catarina`s team, so that's how a new guild was born :Smurf
 The other half followed Ganja in a brand new guild named HOSTILE and then merged with NONE , this "upgraded" NONE  succeeded to create a top and a strong guild who took the Castle from MuPPeTS.
  MuPPeTs , the second guild who owned the castle on Phoenix seems to also tilt, and follow BDSM direction because they lost (or kicked) a lot of players (only 15 players inside guild before next Castle Siege), will they be strong enough? Will they try to find the resources to rebuild? Or just disband as the last Castle owners?  One thing is sure, last Castle Siege MuPPeTs was just a shadow of the guild who took Castle from BDSM and dominated Phoenix.
  NONE, the third guild who owned castle  and dominated server got new fresh blood after merging with HOSTILE, and they did to MuPPeTs same thing that MuPPeTs did to BDSM, now they are "on the wave", the only guild who can challenge them at this moment seems to be Smurf.
  I guess that time will tell us how the story will be written, also will bring the answer to the main questions : 
   "The Castle is cursed ?  Is this just a strange coincidence that the second guild who got and lost the castle is almost history? What will happen to NONE if they will lose the castle?"

About exp, i think now its time to rise exp for first ~50 lvl little, low exp and hight top scare off new people, when u see that TOP and ur exp in loren ~50-100 i dont think what anyone wants to continue.
Wizard Ring, on every invasion i kill 4-8 orcs and find only one WW and i use him only on hollidays coz i dont know when i find another, but if i find i cant get him coz ww ring cant dropped down( i tell about that ).
Jwl of Chaos, its rly big drop, need a little decrease it.
Feather/Crest, i think every time when we past stage need to rise a little drop, TOP charters dont win more but beginners will be a little easier.

Since yesterday at around 16:30 we've noticed that our data server kept failing for around 4-5 hours, every 20-60 minutes.
We've been troubleshooting the problem for the last 24 hours along with our devs and our host manager.
Unfortunately we tried everything to find and fix the problem (and we thought we did it, as it stopped yesterday evening) but it seems that it appeared again today.
We've also turned off 60% of our scripts/systems in the process of troubleshooting, which will be back shortly.
We also noticed that it happens only when we reach a certain amount of players online (around 510-515). So we have blocked slots at 505 for now (and it seems that it stopped) and we'll manually disconnect AFK chars (dead players from cities) when the limit will be reached.
Our only solution left is to migrate to a new machine on a fresh windows as it is most likely something from windows (nothing else left untried or unchecked).
The migration will take some time as we have to configure the machine and reinstall everything we have for all of our servers.
We're really sorry for the discomfort created but be sure that we're doing our best to make sure that you have a great gaming environment.
There will be some compensation for this situation but we'll speak more after we make sure everything is fine.

I think most Mu players are over 25-30 nowadays, and most of us have families, jobs or other hobbies as well. Grinding for 1-2 years is simply not feasible for a lot of players. I really enjoy shorter "seasons" of Mu servers because i can experience the full game and the server usually "tells it's story" by then. For me at least, after 4-5 months a server starts to become a little tedious and like a second job, it's simply the nature of this game.
Having a long extremely hard server would be awesome, i admit it. But only the true hardcore players will stick around to see end game, and at some point new people will stop joining because it would be impossible to catch up with players that started 1 year before, for example. Low population servers are no fun for the players, and don't bring revenue to the admins. It's natural and a good thing to release a new edition.
This edition of NonRR was great from this point of view - there were a lot of new players coming in even after 4 months from the opening, and actually having a chance to compete at the highest level. We had a lot of players like this in NONE guild. This happened because of the custom settings, balance and features brought by the OS team. But these settings are the result of MULTIPLE editions of their servers, and they weren't perfect. A new edition is our chance to see an even more interesting and challenging server, and Staff's chance to refine their work and fix what was wrong.
